Dry embossing is maybe the easiest way to emboss paper. It requires no special tools. Either use a premade stencil or create your own with a thick paper like cardstock. Secure the stencil in place with tape and then firmly, yet carefully, trace the outline of the stencil using a bone folder or similar stylist. This technique looks great on holiday cards, gift tags, book covers, and business cards.
